Service Description: 1992 Assembly Districts: A court-ordered district plan was issued by a three-judge federal panel on June 2, 1992. The plan used wards created under s. 5.15 based on the 1990 federal census of population of Wisconsin, within the municipal boundaries in effect on August 1, 1991. (NOTE: These 1992 Wisconsin Assembly Districts were created digitally in 2010 using U.S. Census blocks from 2001).

Comments: The Wisconsin 2011 redistricting plan was signed into law as Act 43 on August 9, 2011. The plan enacted by 2011 Act 43 was challenged before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in Baldus et al vs. Brennan et al. On April 11, 2012, the court issued an order creating the new boundaries between Assembly Districts 8 and 9.
